I sometimes view only 10 feet away to the closest feeder and yet can view deer on the hill upside of the ravine at maybe 100 yards. Any suggestions?

In your situation I would strongly recommend the Barska12-36x50 (AD11104). This model has a close focus of 9 feet, so it will be able to focus in on the bird feeder at 10 feet. The 15-45x60 model has a close focus of 16 feet, so any object closer than 16 feet will be out of focus. The 36x zoom of AD11104 will be more than enough zoom to get a nice close-up image of wildlife at 100 yards, yet it will still be able to focus on objects as close as 9 feet away

Thank you for your inquiry about the FLX 1200. You should be able to switch the light on and off without activating the other modes by waiting a couple seconds before you press the button again. Pressing the button too soon will switch the flashlight into the strobe mode, but if you wait a second or two longer it should just turn on and off.

By practising this it will give you less trouble when try to open the biometric safe. So please try to register again your finger at least 5-10times using the same finger. this is because each time when you want to open the safe you will place your finger onto the scanner differently. sometime to the left sometime to the right.
