Gave us really sharp details at night. I've use this a few times when we were out in the desert for the Perseids and I could see everything even in total darkness. Just wow! I could't ask for more in terms of night visibility and viewing quality.
These do a great job of letting you see in the night. They’re not military grade $1000+ NVs but for less than $200, they’re more than excellent. They let me see clearly in total darkness and I like that you can take pictures and short videos.
Clarity of objects and range is excellent for a NV unit in this price range. I've used other Gen 1 optics and this one beats the others by far! The IR really lights things up in darkness. It's lightweight, and fairly simple to use. It quickly adjusts to changes in light and has little halo effect. Records good video and takes decent pictures. Also can be used during daytime conditions with good color images. Overall, I can't complain. It's a great unit for the money!
