Tactical Scopes designed for the AR15 have a wide range of targeting functions, but the two distinct targeting methods for AR 15 scopes are quick acquisition close quarter targeting and long range targeting. AR rifle scope technology has advanced so much that the modern shooter can take advantage of both shooting styles at the same time. Dual targeting points can be achieved with a combination of a main magnified optical scope, a secondary quick targeting sight, and a third targeting point which can be achieved via an AR 15 laser sight. AR 15 sights for quick target shooting or close distance shooting requires a sight with little to no optical magnification, and chiefly relies on a highly visible reticle and a wide field of view. This type of shooting requires the sight or scope to help guide your eye to the target quickly without obstructing your view. When choosing a quick target shooting AR 15 sight, keep in mind: smaller is better. The less the sight obstructs the shooters’ view, the easier it is to quickly track down and target. The shooting range of an AR 15 sight with no magnification is from point blank to 50 yards max. When shooting longer distances, shooters can sight in the target with a scope that has a higher magnification. The Electro sight by Barska is a series of highly visible sights specifically designed for quick target shooting. These sights are also ideal for home defense where the ability to quickly target the intruder within a close distance is crucial.
Close to mid range AR 15 scopes for target shooting distances of 50 – 150 yards requires optical magnification. Barska offers several models of close to mid range scopes that fit every shooters needs and preferences. The best option would be a zoom-powered scope with a low minimum magnification of 1x and a high magnification of 4x. If choosing a fixed power, a 4x magnification is a commonly preferred power for mid range shooting. The advantage of a zoom power AR scope that can go down to 1x is that it can be used in close quarters combat shooting if needed. At 1x this is what you see with your naked eye, the close focus at 1x allows you to co-witness the scopes’ reticle with the rifles’ iron sight, which is a feature and specification most law enforcement shooters need in an AR 15 scope. Low magnification scopes like the Barska Multi-Rail electro sight come in 1-3x, 1-4x and 4x powers which can be used with a laser sight for a second aiming point or a long-range co-witness of the targeting point. Shooters can zero a mid range scope in at 100 yards and with a Barska GLX green laser sight, can light up the target for a distant co-witness. The use of a laser together with an AR 15 scope can give the shooter the ability to designate a different shooting distances within the scopes reticle.
Long range AR 15 scopes, like the 4-16x50mm sniper scope by Barska are built for distances of 50 yards to over 300 yards. Programing the Barska Biometric Safe to Store a Fingerprint
All new Barska Biometric Safes will be in demo mode when you first put in the 4 AA batteries (included). This means that any action of scanning a finger will open the safe. You will need to program your fingerprint into the system to lock the safe.
Quick Start Guide: Make sure you have installed batteries into the safe.
- Push and release the programing button on the inside of the safe, you will hear one beep.
- Then place and hold your finger on the optical sensor to be scanned
- Hold your finger on the optical sensor until you hear two more beeps which signal that your fingerprint has been stored successfully. Fingerprint programming is now complete.
- To add more fingerprints simply repeat steps 1 – 3.
Helpful Note:
You may want to scan multiple fingers into the safe system incase you forget which finger you have stored. Also over time your fingerprints may get damaged do to cuts or burns. If you have had an injury to your finger you may want to rescan your fingerprint after it has fully healed.
Back-Up / Secondary Access
The Barska biometric safe comes with two back up keys . The back up keys can be used only by removing the barska logo plate with an allen wrench.
Battery Life & Power Usage

How To Use A Rifle Scope Bore Sighter Kit by Barska

Barska Bore Sighter Kit
Bore Sighting your riflescope with your rifle will allow you to quickly and more accurately “zero in” or “sight in” your riflescope to the correct shooting distance. You will always need to shoot a test group of shots after you bore sight your riflescope to your rifle. Bore sighting your riflescope will reduce wasting ammunition when targeting in your rifle during test shooting.
Example Problem: You have a newly mounted zoom power riflescope on a rifle and aim at a target 100 yards away. You aim for the center of the target with the scope and fire for the first time, but you see no impact on the target in the view of the scope. If you where not able to see were the bullet actually landed then you would need to guess how you need to adjust the scopes windage and elevation on the next shot. You would need to continue shooting multiple test shots and adjusting the scope until the actual impact of the bullet comes into view of the scope. This will waste time and ammunition.
Why Does this Happen? A newly mounted riflescope’s actual zero point on a rifle is unknown due to many variables; type of scope base, height of mounting rings, type of rifle, type of ammunition, etc.
Solution: The Barska® Bore Sighter Kit will allow you to sight your riflescope with your rifle so that when test firing you will only have to make very fine adjustments and waste very little ammunition.
Firearm Safety Warning: Secure your rifle to a suitable support that will allow you to safely work on the rifle. Always make sure your rifle is unloaded and the chamber is clear. Make sure the rifles safety is on. The bore sighting procedure requires no shooting or bullets. Always handle a firearm as if it where loaded. When bore sighting your rifle always have the rifle pointed in a safe direction.
Note: To ensure the best performance make sure your riflescope is mounted correctly using scope rings and a rifle base designed for your scope and rifle.

Attach The bore sighter To Firearm Muzzle Select the appropriate bore arbor from the kit by selecting caliber indicated next to each arbor and insert the end of the arbor with brass hinge into the bore sighter. Hand tighten the locking screw to attach firmly the bore sighter (Fig. 1 and 2) Insert the other end of the stud into the muzzle (Fig. 3).
